22-February-2012 - EU in cooperation with Kazakh Justice Ministry and Supreme Court to hold seminar on
On 22 February, 2012 the EU-funded project (2010-2013) "Support to Judicial and Legal Reform in the Republic of Kazakhstan", with a budget of 3.4 million Euro, will host a seminar on "Institution of Private Bailiffs in Kazakhstan". Enforcement of court decisions is a major factor in the development of legal and judicial reform in Kazakhstan, the press service of the EU Delegation to Kazakhstan reports.
The seminar is aimed to exchange the practical experiences of private bailiffs in Europe and private bailiffs in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Institute of private bailiff was introduced in Kazakhstan by the Law of Republic of Kazakhstan dated from April 2, 2010 "On Enforcement Proceedings and the status of a bailiff". The introduction of private bailiff will make a decisive step in implementing one of the main priorities of the judicial system - court enforcement. Quality and enforcement of court decisions is one of the guarantee of the independence and efficiency of the judicial system.
The private bailiffs, who have started their professional career in Kazakhstan, will be acquainted with good European practices of the institution of private bailiffs, where the system of private judicial execution have been working for many years.
This event is a continuation of the series of seminars for private bailiffs in the framework of cooperation between the Ministry of Justice of RoK, the Supreme Court of RoK and the EU Project.
The seminar will be attended by the European expert Mr. Jos Uitdehaag, Director/co-owner of two enforcement agent offices in the Netherlands, member of the Board of the Royal Dutch Organization of Enforcement agents and member of the Committee on E-justice of the Union Internationale des huissiers de Justice (UIHJ)
The seminar will be organized and held in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice of RoK, the Supreme Court of RoK and the EU project "Support to Judicial and Legal Reform in the Republic of Kazakhstan", implemented by the international consortium led by the Paris-based Agency for International Judicial Cooperation ACOJURIS withICON (Germany) and Louis Berger (France).
