He realizes the activities of akimat administration.
Ensures the implementation of public policy, is responsible for the state of socio-economic development.
He represents the interests of the region in the relationships with the Presidential Administration and Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with other organs, organizations and citizens.
He submits to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan representation concerning state awards, awarding of honorary titles and other ranks for corresponding persons.
He coordinates the work of the district (cities of regional significance), akimats and akims.

He is at the head of commissions: budget, for development of small and medium businesses, control by realization of development programs on anti-corruption, Kazakhstan People's Assembly.
Within his competence, organizes and ensures the implementation of legislation on Universal Military Duty and Military Service, Civil Defense, and also the mobilization preparation and mobilization.

He is responsible for the realization of programs: construction, housing policy, transport development, repair and rehabilitation of roads.
He is responsible for the coordination in the sectoral ministries of investment projects for the corresponding period in accordance with development priorities, also targeted, effective and timely development of the budget in supervise branches.
He coordinates the work of local executive organs in the part of reformation and optimization of the transport and communications.

The deputy Akim of Karaganda region concerning the industry, business, financial and economic questions.
Ahmetzhanov A. M.

Ensures the implementation of state policy in the sphere of economy, industry, budget planning, execution of the local budget, communal property management and development of small and medium-sized businesses, and also industrially-innovative and investment policy.
He coordinates the formation of forecasts of region’s socio-economic development, the formation of estimated indicators implementation of regional development programs, and also the formation of strategic objectives and priorities for economic and budget planning.
He is responsible for program’s realization of forced industrial-innovative development of the Karaganda region.
Also he is responsible for the realization of following programs: the development of industrial sector of the economy, development and support of small business.
Organizes work on attraction of investments, working out of investment programs, realization of state and regional investment projects, ensures the realization of measures on increase in the Kazakhstan maintenance.
Ensures general coordination of agreement in the branch ministries of investment projects for the corresponding period, and also on target, effective and timely adaptation of the budgetary funds in supervise regions.
He carries out guidance on the formation of budget revenues, the projects’ development of local budgets and budget execution.
Coordinates together with the deputies of region’s akim the work of structural subdivisions on the planning of activity of region akim’s administration
Organizes the work on the activities connected with visits of delegations of foreign states and representatives of international organizations in the sphere of trade and economic relations.
Develops trade and economic relations with the regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, CIS and foreign countries in supervise branches.
Ensures the participation of government representatives and business structures of the Karaganda region in various international events.

He participates in the formation of price and tariff policy, suppression of facts of unfair competition and limitation of monopolistic activity. He takes the anti-inflationary measures in supervise branches.

He is responsible for the realization of programs: the Roadmap, agricultural food, rural development, social protection and rehabilitation of persons with disabilities.
He is responsible for the coordination of relevant ministries of investment for the corresponding period in accordance with development priorities, and also targeted, effective and timely development of the budget in supervise branches.
He ensures the implementation of legislation on environmental protection.
He organizes the development of regional agricultural development programs in the light of socio-economic development and control over their implementation, coordinate work on the development of rural areas with depressed economies, land relations.
He organizes the control over the perspectives of development, the accumulation and management of food resources, the activities of the food industry, processing industry and trade.

He is responsible for formation and realization of state policy by ensuring of social and political stability, consolidation of state sovereignty, democratization of public processes and consolidation of society.
He realizes public informational policy on the regional level, implements a coordination of the regional mass media’s activity on realization of the state order.
He carries out coordination of the activity of public and non-state sectors in the spheres of preschool, general secondary, technical post-secondary and higher vocational education, out-of-school education, healthcare, archives, art and culture, youth policy, tourism, physical culture and sports.
He ensures Rules of licensing of activity on production, manufacturing, wholesale and retail sale of medical products, the kinds of activities related to trafficking in narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors in the health system.
He coordinates the activities of political and religious associations, national and cultural centers.
Decides on the Assembly of Peoples of Kazakhstan, the regional commissions: on the women's affairs and family and demographic Policy, juvenile’s affairs, onomastics, awards, carrying out urgent call to military service, the emergency anti-epidemic commission, the fight against drug abuse and drug trafficking.
