03-August-2012 - Optimization of universities held in Kazakhstan
The Single Central Kazakhstan Academy has been established on the basis of three universities in Karaganda within the optimization of higher education institutions, the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan informs.
"Currently, as the result of held work on optimization, the new Single Central Kazakhstan Academy has been established on the basis of three higher education institutions of Karaganda - the Modern Humanitarian Institute, the Central Kazakhstan University MGTI-Lingua, Law Academy "Phemis", the statement reads.
These measures will allow to improve material and technical base of the universities, academic staff and ensure the desired quality of education for future specialists.
It was also informed that as a result of inspections held by the committee for control in the sphere of education and science regarding the Kazakh-Chinese Academy the court issued a decree on full divestiture of the certificate of authorization., Kazinform refers to Pm.kz site.
Presently, as a result of the held work on optimization, 143 of 146 universities are currently functioning in the country.
As Minister of Education and Science B. Zhumagulov informed earlier, more than 20 universities will be united the next year and about 10 universities in 2013. The competitive education institutions will be established on their basis later.
As earlier reported, President of Kazakhstan N. Nazarbayev gave instructions in the article "Social modernization of Kazakhstan: 20 steps toward the Universal Society of Labor" to hold optimization of higher education institutions.
