22-October-2012 - About KZT 300 billion provided for Kazakhstan's road development
"About KZT 300 billion of budget funds is provided for the development of the Kazakhstan's roads in 2013, including KZT 250 billion for the republican roadnet and 45 billion for local road network in the form of the target transfers," Chairman of Motor Roads Committee of Kazakh Ministry of Transport and Communication Zamir Saginov told at the meeting with the participation of Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister Krymbek Kusherbayev in Akimat of Karaganda region.
According to the authority, KZT 279 billion were allocated this year on the development of the country's road sector, including KZT 240 billion - for the development of the republican network.
Since 2009, on the instructions of the Head of State implemented a particularly significant mega project "Western Europe - Western China." Length of the corridor through Kazakhstan is 2,787 km, 2452 km of which are to be reconstructed.
This year six thousand pieces of equipment, about 100 asphalt, cement and concrete crushing and screening plants were mobilized. More than 35 thousand of road builders, including 35 thousand Kazakh people and 579 foreigners attracted," Z. Saginov informed.
